The design of a 1,200 seat outdoor venue including a smaller version, began in the summer of 2000.

It was decided that a local grade school showed the most promising site for the project.

The overall design was completed in the early spring of 2001.

The smaller venue was completed in 2004. The larger amphitheater is still unbuilt.
