Long Island University. Brooklyn. School of Business. Trading Floor
Completed in 2014

Commissioned to design a space to accommodate a small trading floor. Two existing adjacent classrooms were con-joined to create the space. Used trading desks were easily acquired as the market was awash with them in the aftermath of the market crash. Multiple large TV monitors were used to create a real and operational trading floor. The use of a used stock streamer was rejected due to budget constraints. Fortunately they quickly became somewhat obsolete with the advancement of new and better technologies, but they’re still used by some companies.

New wall and floor finishes were specified. Interactive wall surfaces with projectors were also incorporated.
